Daramola Thompson Olapade, Ph.D., MNIVS, RSV

Dr. Daramola Thompson Olapade is a Reader in the Department of Estate Management at Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. He earned his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Estate Management from Obafemi Awolowo University. His research focuses on Land Governance, Property Valuation, and Property Technology (PropTech), with numerous publications and a co-authored book chapter on Sustainable Real Estate. Dr. Olapade has received multiple research grants, including from the African Research Universities Alliance, investigating urban resilience and land market informality in Nigeria. As part of his academic and professional contribution, Dr. Olapade developed the first online databank for property data in Nigeria named REDBANK, a databank for storage of concluded property transactions. He also developed a framework for assessment of customary land delivery institutions. A Member of Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers and a Registered Estate Surveyor, he serves as a consultant and reviewer while holding key academic roles.
